Film Stills

In 2022 I was commissioned to create an art film telling the story of a heatwave and dying from a heart attack due to extreme heat. It was an accompaniment to a conference talk on the climate emergency by Dr Arnagretta Hunter ((https://iceds.anu.edu.au/people/academics/dr-arnagretta-hunter). She is an Australian physician and cardiologist who thinks, learns and talks about the big challenges and opportunities for our health and wellbeing, climate and our human future. The film was premiered in Adelaide in April 2022 at The Lab. (https://www.thelabadl.com.au/about), as a provocation about catastrophic existential risks, about what it means to talk of humanity ending, and of what glimmers of hope come from confronting these challenges – “It needs imagination, creativity, challenge, change and community for a chance for a better world.“
